🏆Artist of the Week

Each week, FishWorship shines a spotlight on an artist whose music points us toward faith, hope, and the heart of God. This week, we’re excited to introduce an artist whose powerful voice and honest songwriting have been part of Christian music for more than two decades. From her early breakthrough with songs like “Blessed” and “Live for You” to her more recent music reminding us of our identity and worth in Christ, Rachael Lampa continues to share music that meets people right where they are. Rachael Lampa is our FishWorship Artist of the Week! And with her brand-new single “Permission” releasing today, there couldn’t be a more fitting week to celebrate Rachael and the music she continues to bring to the Christian music community.

“Perfectly Loved” is such a beautiful reminder that our worth isn’t something we have to earn—we are already completely loved by God. Rachael Lampa delivers that message with both warmth and conviction, and her collaboration with TobyMac makes this song especially memorable. Today, Rachael begins a new chapter with the release of her brand-new single, “Permission,” a song that invites us to come to God honestly, bringing our questions, struggles, and imperfections with us. We’re excited to share this new song with you as we continue celebrating Rachael Lampa as our FishWorship Artist of the Week.

Rachael Lampa has been a distinctive voice in Christian music for more than two decades. From the beginning of her career, she demonstrated an ability to combine a remarkable vocal range with songs that speak directly to the heart. Her debut album, Live for You, arrived in 2000 and produced multiple No. 1 singles, including “Blessed,” which earned a Dove Award. Her career has continued to evolve, and her newer music has introduced Rachael to a new generation while reconnecting her with many of the listeners who have been with her since the beginning.

At FishWorship, we believe an Artist of the Week should be more than an artist with a few great songs. We want to celebrate musicians whose work gives listeners something worth carrying with them after the music ends. Rachael’s music does exactly that. “Perfectly Loved” is a beautiful example, reminding us that our worth isn’t something we have to earn. Her newer music continues that same emphasis on identity, grace, honesty, and the love of God.

Rachael also represents something we value deeply at FishWorship: the ability of Christian music to remain meaningful across generations. She began recording professionally as a teenager, stepped away from the spotlight for a time, served her Nashville community through People Loving Nashville, and eventually found her way back to creating music. Her official biography describes her current music as an organic continuation of that journey, bridging the gap between longtime fans and people discovering her for the first time.

Her return has been more than a nostalgic look back at the music of her early career. “Perfectly Loved,” “Somebody to You,” “High Hopes,” and “For What It’s Worth” have all marked this new chapter, while her powerful vocals and deeply personal songwriting remain central to what makes her music distinctive. And now, with the release of “Permission,” Rachael is beginning another chapter—one centered on coming to God honestly, with our questions, weaknesses, and imperfections.

That’s why Rachael Lampa is our FishWorship Artist of the Week. Her voice is exceptional, her catalog contains songs that have endured, and her newest music shows that her story is still being written. Most importantly, Rachael continues to use her gifts to point listeners toward truth, grace, hope, and the love of God. We’re honored to celebrate her this week and to introduce her music to anyone discovering Rachael Lampa for the first time.
