“O Holy Night”
“O Holy Night” is a beautiful way to bring our Hillsong journey back to Christmas. This live performance from Hillsong Worship, recorded in Sydney, Australia, was released as part of Christmas: The Peace Project in 2018. The arrangement gives the beloved Christmas hymn a spacious, contemporary worship setting while allowing the timeless words of the song to remain at the center.
The performance features Taya, whose powerful and distinctive voice gives this version an especially memorable character. Taya had already become internationally known through her work with Hillsong UNITED, particularly through her iconic lead vocal on “Oceans (Where Feet May Fail),” before continuing her career as a solo artist. Her presence here creates a wonderful connection between the different chapters of the Hillsong story we’ve explored on this page.
